What about the ITA area ?
ITA (for ITAly) is the code used for distribution in ltaly.
Mattel was the very first official distributor on ltalian soil.
Mattel games are highly appreciated by ltalian collectors as they are the very first release of the games. GIG, as many others, came fater, with the reissue of already released games. GIG, however, was also a big importer, importing games from other countries and simply adding a GIG sticker directly on the box. This information is important, especially for 3 games: Lock N' Chase, Nail 'n Scale and Tumble Pop in UKV.
Why is it so important?
Well, even if these games are UKV games, they were never distributed in the United Kingdom, but only in ltaly, by GIG. On the contrary, numerous ITA games were exported, in particular to France and Benelux, meaning that they are pretty common in these countries. There is no ITA exclusive game, but We're Back (one of the Baby T-Rex re-releases, along with Bamse and Agro Soar) was only released in Europe in ITA.
